We Are Different

There is no doubt about it.  We are different.  For over thirty years we have strived to create distinction.  Better outcomes.  Better patient care.  Better cost efficiency.   Better quality.   And we have done this while constantly staying focused on what matters most: putting quality into life.  At a recent American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation meeting we heard over and over again how everyone is struggling to provide service, any service, under the pressures of the current health care model.  While we are not immune from those stresses it was more than evident that our focus is still what is has always been.  Innovative and pioneering solutions that address the root cause of pain, weakness and numbness.    And we plan to keep it that way.  Learn more at piedmontpmr.com.

Balance In Heath and Health Care

Balance.   Striving for it or achieving it in health and health care are important goals.   Your health, and health care, are not the same thing.   Your health is just that; yours.   In the end only you are responsible for your life and how you adapt to what it brings you.  Naturally there are times when seeking health care is something you should do.  But seeking health care does not mean that you give up personal responsibility for your health, it only means that you have decided to recruit help in your quest to achieve health.   Learning how to balance your health, how you relate to your own health, and how you either access or make use of health care is the trick.   Visit the Education tab of piedmontpmr.com to discover patient enrichment tools and techniques that we offer to help you achieve balance in health and health care.

New AAT Guidelines For Breast Thermography

The American Academy of Thermology (AAT) has released new Guidelines for Breast Thermography.  They can be found at aathermography.org.   Breast Thermography is an adjunctive tool that provides physiologic information about risk factors such as hormone imbalance, lymphatic congestion, ductal congestion, painful chest wall syndromes, and neovascularity.  These risk factors can impact breast health and are not readily studied with other imaging modalities.  Learn more about Thermography at piedmontprm.com.
