Fibromyalgia
Generalized pain, weather sensitivity, irritable bowel, interstitial cystitis, non-cardiac chest pain, fatigue, brain fog, and depression are only a few of the common symptoms seen in patients with Fibromyalgia. These complaints are real and the condition is real.
Frequently however Fibromyalgia patients do not get any help. Their doctors may not listen, or just don’t know what to do. Narcotics are not the solution and medications alone are not enough. A holistic approach is needed to address the whole person. While recognizing that there will be no singular treatment that will lead to a cure helps with acceptance knowing that a clear strategy that addresses the root causes is needed.
And that is possible. At Piedmont Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, PA our success indicators are something to be proud of. Over the course of time our Fibromyalgia patients consistently report an improvement in quality of life, reduced pain, and increased function.
