Non-Narcotic Pain Control For RSD/CRPS and Fibromyalgia

RSR/CRPS and Fibromyalgia are conditions associated with complex, chronic pain.  Many people afflicted with these conditions resort to narcotics for pain control but achieve only modest results.  There are other non-addicting options that can be more effective.  Sometimes these choices are not obvious until someone presents them to you.   For example since all of these disorders have increased sympathetic tone and decreased skin blood flow that leads to weather sensitive pain why not use a medication that increases blood flow?   Clonidine is just one example.  By increasing blood flow there is more oxygen to the area, increased warmth, and decreased pain.   If you are interested in other non-narcotic options for pain control visit piedmontpmr.com
