A Personal Protection System

Anyone with complex, chronic pain has tension.  It is part of a natural personal protection response.  Naturally pain is only made worse by this however.   Several tools and tactics work to encourage relaxation.  Assessing the level of threat is one of them.   Energy, verbal communication, and physical contact represent three levels of threat.  By asking which level of threat is present a wider array of  choices becomes available to help you do your job: survive and improve quality of life.
