Peripheral Neuropathy Treatment
Most people who have peripheral neuropathy live with some kind of symptoms. Tightness, hot or cold sensations, weakness or heaviness, pain, decreased balance, tingling sensations, restless leg, and pins and needle sensations are just a few. These complaints can really impact quality of life. At Piedmont Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, PA, we have recently teamed up with Realief Neuropathy Centers to offer a new form of laser therapy that reverses the signs and symptoms of peripheral neuropathy. It has been rewarding to see people get relief of symptoms and to watch the physical signs or disease actually reverse (something we dont usually see in medicine). Since peripheral neuropathy is a disease just like diabetes and high blood pressure it does requires some effort to maintain those improvements after the initial phase of care. This is referred to as the maintenance phase of care. Fortunately that works too. At Piedmont Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, PA we offer a full line of services to diagnose, treat and reverse peripheral neuropathy. Learn more at piedmontpmr.com.
